JADE ACADEMY ART CLASSES

Discover the joy of creativity with JADE Academy’s new Visual Art Program! We offer a variety of art classes designed to inspire students of all ages and skill levels. Our Summer Art Camps provide hands-on, age-specific instruction for grades 3–12 in a fun and focused setting. During the school year, our Homeschool Art Classes offer structured, curriculum-based learning for students in grades 1–12 through weekly sessions. For older students and teens, our After-School Art Program delivers engaging, skill-building classes designed for middle and high schoolers. Whether you're nurturing a budding artist or exploring creativity for the first time, JADE’s Art Program invites you to grow, create, and thrive.

ART CLASSES

SUMMER ART CAMP

Grades 3–12 |

July 14 – August 1 (MWF)

Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of art, including both 2D and 3D techniques like drawing, painting, and sculpture. We'll explore age-appropriate master artists and connect creative making to the makers behind the work. No prior art experience is needed—this camp is designed to spark fun, creativity, and curiosity in every student.

3rd–5th Grade: 9:00–10:00 AM
6th–8th Grade: 10:30–11:30 AM
9th–12th Grade: 12:30–1:30 PM

$250 per student

HOMESCHOOL ART CLASSES

Grades 1–12 | Mondays |

8-week sessions

These fun and educational classes meet students where they are and build skills across all levels. Each age group enjoys a unique theme tailored to their learning style and creative development.

First session will start August 18th.

Second session starts October 20th.

Grades 1–3 – 9:00am-10:00am

The Art Factory: Creating is Fun!
Students explore materials through hands-on crafts and beginner drawing skills, all while building confidence and having fun.

Grades 4–6 – 10:30am-11:30am

Colorful Creations: Fun with Color and Lines
Students experiment with drawing and color to express ideas. They'll take inspiration from famous artists, explore basic color theory, and learn foundational techniques.

Grades 7–12 – 1:00pm-3:00pm

Artistic Explorers: Discover Your Art Style
An introduction to mixed media art, combining urban art, fine art, and design. Students will build skills over time and explore what medium and style best suits them.

Tuition:

Grades 1–6: $200 per student
Grades 7–12: $350 per student

AFTER SCHOOL ART CLASSES

Middle & High School | Fridays | Sept 5 – Oct 24

This class provides a relaxed, skill-building environment for students looking to expand their artistic knowledge. With a focus on technique, creativity, and personal expression, students will grow in confidence as they develop their unique style.

Middle School: 4:30–5:30 PM
High School: 6:00–7:00 PM

$200 per student

Certified Art Instructor

Kristen Loper

Kristen Loper is a 2015 graduate of Northwest Nazarene University with a B.F.A. in Fine Arts (Painting and Drawing) and a minor in Graphic Design. She has taught art to students from Pre-K to 12th grade since 2010, including homeschool co-ops and, since 2018, at Skyview High School in Nampa, Idaho, where she teaches a range of art courses including AP-level classes. Kristen is passionate about fostering creativity and has seen her students succeed in AP portfolios, contests, and gallery shows. Outside of teaching, she enjoys doodling, art events, travel, and spending time with family and friends.

Veronica Davis

Veronica Davis is a certified teacher and artist with years of experience working with children in both the public and private school settings. With a lifelong love of art and creativity, Veronica is thrilled to combine these passions into unique and inspiring art class offerings. Through these classes Veronica aims to ignite curiosity and joy through art. She believes everyone can be an artist!
